Founder / Director

Kyle Worgan

Kyle discovered his love for the outdoors after training in the Royal Marines and is today qualified to coach across multiple disciplines and adventure sports.

He's worked in the outdoor industry for over 13 years, been on expedition to 5 continents to climb mountains and paddle rivers all before founding Original Wild.

He still lives in Bath and loves to introduce new travellers to the South West.

Paddle Instructor

Laurie Maylor

After winning the most amount of hours spent on a SUP in his first season during 2020, Laurie has taken to instructing water sports like a pro! Originally a competitive trampolinist, keen surfer and traveller, he wanted a career change. He's now a major part of the OW family with awesome skills and knowledge of Bath & South West.

Look out for Laurie on the North coast of Devon - he's the guy surfing those scary reef breaks!

Paddle & Climbing Instructor

Oscar Davenport

A member of the OW family since 2018 with many years of outdoor work, Oscar is one of our most knowledgeable and experienced instructors.

Having worked in the highs of the Scottish mountains and the lows of the sunny coast of Cornwall; he knows exactly what the UK has to offer! He's now a trainee paramedic and keen all round adventurer with many epic adventures under his belt.

When he's not with OW he's dressed in green overalls saving lives around the Bristol area.

Paddle Instructor

Rachel Garman

Rachel has worked in outdoor education since 2003 - in our opinion she hasn’t had a ‘real job’ in over 18 years! Her work has taken her all over the world but she has now made Bath her home - an obvious choice!

Rachel is slowly exploring the South West coastline this summer in between Original Wild sessions where she maintains that although she can backflip off the SUP, there is no need to prove it…

Outside of work Rachel can be found either on or near a body of water, or on a mountain bike winging it down a steep hill!

Paddle Instructor & Team Manager

James Fisher

After backpacking in south-east Asia and living in Australia in his twenties, James' eyes were opened to the possibility of a new and much more enjoyable way of life.

This prompted him to make the sideways shift from construction to outdoor instructing and he hasn't looked back since!

When he’s not working he can mostly be found up the side of a mountain, touring his campervan or falling off a surfboard. James really believes in the benefits of being outdoors and enjoys every second of adventure!
